Warm up this Winter with Wang Thai’s new Thai spiced flavours

Cape Town: 14th May  2008: South Africa’s leading Thai restaurant group, Wang Thai, will be offering Capetonians a variety of winter warmer dishes certain to spice up our chilly Cape Town weather in royal Thai cuisine style.

This winter will see a selection of starters and main courses adorning an award-winning menu with a combination of authentic and modern Thai cuisine dishes.  The Winter Warmer dishes will include an option of two delicious soups, Tom Yum Soup and Suki Soup with a selection of no less than six main course options that range in flavour, texture and delicate culinary design.

Targeted to discerning diners with an eye for décor style, a taste for cuisine excellence and expectations of nothing less than uncompromising levels of service, Wang Thai offers a superlative dining experience.  Each of the six Wang Thai stores are beautifully appointed in authentic Thai style décor adorned with traditional carvings and intricate objects of royal artwork.

Only the freshest ingredients, imported directly from Wang Thai’s exclusive suppliers in Thailand , make their way into the kitchen where guests can be entertained by watching the masterful chefs prepare to spoil them with their masterful creations through the screened display kitchen glass.

Tantalising starters of Tom Yum Prawn Soup or Suki Soup are thick and hearty and made using only the freshest seafood and deliciously aromatic flavours.  They are both individually priced at R36.

The mixed selection of six main course dishes has been crafted to suit all tastebuds using a superb selection of fresh Thai dishes, such as Duck with Ginger and Coconut Sauce or Steamed Seafood Curry and last but not least the Stir-fried Beef with Green Curry Paste. The main courses are generously portioned, elegantly presented and priced from R56 to R89 per portion.
For those with a sweet tooth there are the wonderfully delicate Chocolate Springrolls, Fried Banana served with ice-cream, Sticky Rice with Thai Custard or the much loved traditional Malva Pudding.
The intrinsic value of Thai dining is that it is an experience to be shared with friends and family, with the more people at the table meaning that more dishes can be sampled.  The art of dining out with Thai is that there are always a variety of dishes on the table that can be shared, compared and savoured for their sweet, sour, savoury and subtle nuances.

The Winter Warmer menu will be available across all six Wang Thai stores from 2nd June until the 31st July 2008
